Guinea-Bissau in Transition
Supporting Guinea-Bissau in transition from Peacekeeping status to Development
For the next 5 months QOEN is supporting the United Nations in Guinea-Bissau. The Peacekeeping mission, also called UNIOGBIS, is closing down, and its responsibilities for peacekeeping will need to be absorbed into the development portfolio of the UN Country Team, and the United Nations Development Programme. Support is needed with conducting an organisational capacity assessment and strategic thinking, which is all happening in a context of the formulation of several development plans. QOEN has been recruited through the UNDP SURGE roster, which recruits people on short notice.
